Cycling: Cheatley takes Oregon tour lead with stage win

New Zealand cyclist Catherine Cheatley has maintained her strong form in the United States, grabbing the overall lead in Oregon's Cascade Classic by winning the first stage this morning (NZT).

Cheatley's Colavita-Baci teammate and fellow New Zealander Rushlee Buchanan finished third in the 119km stage.

Buchanan leads the young rider classification after winning her class while finishing 10th in yesterday's prologue. Cheatley finished fourth.

Earlier this month, Cheatley was second at Michigan's Grand Cycling Classic and then won the Fitchburg Longsjo Classic at Massachusetts.
