Police are investigating the death of a woman whose
semi-naked body was found outside a toilet block in a south
Auckland park today.
The gruesome find was believed to have been made by a bus
driver in Murphy Park, Otahuhu, soon after daybreak and
emergency services were alerted.
Police said the body may have been there for several hours
and they were treating the death as suspicious.
The woman's body was face down and naked from the waist down
except for a pair of underpants. Items of clothing were found
beside her.
The scene, which is close to a kindergarten and a high school
in Otahuhu, has been cordoned off while police and scientists
carry out a forensic examination.
