The University of Otago has launched a pilot internship
programme aimed at Maori engagement in the science industry.
As part of the programme, three Maori undergraduate and
postgraduate students at Otago University will spend 10 weeks
hosted at Crown Research Institute Industrial Research in
Wellington, starting this month.
Otago University associate Maori dean Dr Stephen Scott said
students were "very excited to take up this unique
opportunity to explore the world of Maori business and to
apply the knowledge they have gained at university".
