The pair were employed by the University of Otago Summer School to work on a collaborative drawing project during three lunchtimes over a three week period.
Yesterday was the third lunchtime the pair had been drawing.
This year's creation was ''a bevy, or a host of suns'', as a sun was the logo of the Summer School.
Students and members of the public were encouraged to add colour, patterns and lines inside the suns, using water based pens.
The work would stay until ''people decide to clean them off''.
