The two staff representatives on the University of Otago's 2016 council have been voted in.
Biochemistry senior lecturer Dr Craig Marshall will be the academic staff representative, and information technology services employee Shane Montague-Gallagher will be the general staff representative.
Before legislative changes this year, there were three council positions for academic staff and one for general staff. Now, there is one position for each.
