On the surface, this is the story of a creative, peaceful dragon called Norman who wishes the other dragons would stop fighting and breaking and burning things.

He tries everything to stop them being so destructive but nothing works.

The subtext of the story is a message about domestic and playground violence, which sounds intense but author Martin Baynton has approached it with a subtle hand, leaving room for interpretation.

Ultimately, Norman learns the valuable lesson sometimes it's better to just walk away from a bad situation that can't be changed. Ages: 3+.
