Fans of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel will not be disappointed by the sequel.

As well as the high-calibre cast of favourites from the original movie a few new visitors come to stay for the sequel, including Richard Gere as American resident Guy.

The original introduced audiences to a group of British pensioners living in the retirement home in India owned by Dev Patel's Sonny, and became the fourth highest grossing film in the United Kingdom in 2012.

This time the movie is based around Sonny's dream of expanding the hotel, his upcoming wedding and concentrates on the burgeoning romance between Evelyn (Dench) and Douglas (Nighy).

Of course, as in all good stories there are a few hiccups along the way including a rival for Sonny's expansion plans and for the affections of his fiancée Sunaina (Tina Desai).

While the arrival of Guy has the hotel's female guests a twitter it also puts Sonny into a spin as he tries to fight for his expansion plans.

As with the first movie, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel makes you question the expectations and cliches about growing older.

Bursting with the colour of the life and traditions of India, this is a warm and fun outing that leaves you with a smile on your face.
