What sort of music do you listen to on the road?
Watching a great band you're sharing the bill with is an awesome recipe for a good show for oneself. For example, The Nudge or Good News For Modern Man. When driving, specifically something motorik is great for road rhythm. Try Hallo Gallo by Neu! or the album Shotgun Blossom by Snapper. Anything by Jakob. Recently I revisited Ritual de la Habitual by Jane's Addiction on a late-night drive from Christchurch. Something to sing to is fantastic on the road.
What songs are on your turntable/CD player/iPod this summer?
Heaven Or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins. And I'll be continuing to thrash David Bowie. Low, Station To Station and the last three albums, Heathen, Reality and The Next Day, are wonderful.
What is an album you recommend?
A new one for me is Le Fil by Camille. Check out Pour Que L'amour Me Quitte. Neil Young is always good.
What is your perfect summer music scene?
Sun is shining, kids playing in the garden, lover by my side and soundtrack of ... let's try Weird Fishes/Arpeggi by Radiohead.
