The 20 best songs now go to a vote

APRA has announced the top 20 songs in the running for this year's Silver Scroll award.

Selected by a judging panel of Apra writer members, it's now over to the 10,000-strong New Zealand Apra membership to decide the top five.

The winner will be announced on Thursday, October 30.

The top 20 include the Broods' Bridges, The Phoenix Foundation's Bob Lennon John Dylan, Tiny Ruins' Me At The Museum, You In The Wintergardens, the David Dallas song Runnin, and the Tami Neilson-Joshua Neilson penned Walk (Back To Your Arms).

The other contenders are 10,000 Things (School for Birds), Back On My Feet (Louis Baker), Celeste (by Joseph Faris, performed by Ezra Vine), Cry If You Want To (Jolyon Mulholland), Duckies Lament (Jonathan Bree), Glare (Sheep, Dog & Wolf), Good Keen Man (Lake South), Gravity (@Peace), Her Heart Breaks Like a Wave (Dictaphone Blues), I'm The Man That Will Find You (Connan Mockasin), Levels (Jeremy Toy for She's So Rad), Make You Mine (Anna Coddington), Simplicity (Mark Vanilau), Speakers Blown (Sid Diamond), Sunshine On The Water (Tama Waipara).
