More interesting, however, is the group's debut album, which mixes the spirit and warmth of Burt Bacharach-like horn arrangements through stop-start rhythms.
Highlighting the strong songwriting is an understated celebration of acoustic and electric guitars, all of which are played with a fluid confidence (Dave's Song is a fine example), adding a subtle muscularity that nicely offsets the sweet falsetto of singer (and drummer) Ehrlich.
