Ali Mau is part the host trio of TV One's new current
affairs show Seven Sharp.
Ali Mau, Greg Boyed, and Jesse Mulligan will front TV
One's new 7pm current affairs show Seven Sharp.
After much speculation, TVNZ head of news and current affairs
Ross Dagan announced the presenting team today, describing
the trio as experienced and entertaining with "strong
journalistic pedigree, who collectively personify all of the
attributes of the new show".
"We are confident this team will tell compelling stories in a
refreshing way that will engage New Zealand viewers. Seven
Sharp will reflect the day's events with smart thinking,
different viewpoints, and plenty of laughs along the way," he
said.
Mau is a long-serving journalist, most recently known for her
role as the co-host of consumer affairs show Fair Go.
Boyed has worked for TVNZ for more than a decade with recent
roles on ONE News at 6, Tonight and Q+A.
The pair will be joined by Mulligan, a comedian and head
writer and panellist on TV3's 7 Days.
"I'm thrilled to be part of this, particularly as the Seven
Sharp team is such a strong one both journalistically and
creatively. I'm really looking forward to working alongside
Greg and Jesse in the studio, both of whom bring a wicked
sense of humour and depth of knowledge to the show," said
Mau, who admitted leaving Fair Go was the hardest part of her
decision.
Seven Sharp is due to air in a few weeks.
