Despite huge ratings and a protest involving hundreds of fans marching in support, Campbell Live says it is still under review.

In a Facebook post that thanked fans for watching and supporting the embattled TV3 show, it said the review process "would take a while longer".

"We appreciate your support so much," the post read. "Please continue to watch - it is your support that is keeping us going and why we do what we do."

The show was placed under review by management at TV3 after a poor effort in the ratings around its 10th anniversary. Suggestions of replacements included a homegrown soap, and a Jono and Ben-style weekday entertainment show.

Since then, the show has improved in the ratings so much that it has been the most-watched show on TV3 some nights.

Last night it was only beaten by The Bachelor NZ, with 284,330 viewers, Throng.co.nz reported. Monday night's episode scored 419,410 viewers.

On Friday, protesters marched around the country to support the show, with those that turned out in Auckland met by host John Campbell at TV3's headquarters in Mt Eden.
