Filming has finished on the final season of Outrageous Fortune but fans should not be despondent - a spinoff may be in the works.
The show's co-creator, James Griffin, said such a series had been discussed although nothing was confirmed.
"With something as successful as Outrageous Fortune it gets talked about but it's kind of half as a joke.
"But that's not to say there might not be something in the future."
Fans have speculated about the possibility of a spinoff since it was announced the sixth series of the hit drama about the West family would be the last.
Some members of an internet fan forum wanted a series set in the past and focusing on Ted, aka Grandpa, in his glory days.
Other characters fans wanted to see with their own show included cynical daughter Loretta, played by Antonia Prebble, and her new husband Hayden, played by Shane Cortese.
Viewers also thought West twin Van and his best mate Munter would make a good focus for a new show, while another suggested an alternative storyline that would feature West matriarch Cheryl and criminal kingpin Wolf living happily ever after.
