Children's Day 2010 marks the 10th anniversary of the
National Event in Aotearoa. The theme this year is "Praise
and Encouragement". New Zealand's Children's Day is a
national, non-commercial day to celebrate how special and
important our children are. On the Nairn Street Reserve we
celebrate Children's Day with Kid's Friendly worship from
10:30am followed by at 11:30... * Stalls * Games * Bouncy
Castle * Astroball * Propella - the Play Plane * Horizontal
Bungy * Food * Competitions * Exhibitions. There will also be
a demonstration by the Fire Service rescue unit on the
forecourt of the Roslyn Fire Station in the afternoon. Stall
holders will include local schools, playgroups, churches, and
various other child focused organisations. Children are
encouraged to enter the poetry and art competitions (more
information will be available from local schools or by
contacting the Kaikorai Presbyterian Church) If wet most of
the activities will continue across the road in the premises
of Kaikorai Church.
