Photographs by Eden Bradfield, one of the most interesting
photographers working in colour, will be on view at the old
Northen Hotel, on the corner of Tyne and Wansbeck streets in
Oamaru.
The exhibition of 26 prints, titled "Anyone Lived In a Pretty
How Town" (the title borrowed from ee cummings' poem of the
same name), will be Bradfield's first, showcase work taken
mostly in Sweden and New Zealand.
The photographs give us a particularly view of the world only
avaliable through Bradfield's eyes- washing hanging out of a
window in Sweden, an abandoned road cone, a lone man crossing
the road. What's unique about Bradfield's photographs is his
use of colour- the composition, colour and subject all work
in concert- nothing is missing and nothing could be added.
The exhibition will be held on the 12th and 13th of Feburary
at the old Northen Hotel, corner of Tyne and Wansbeck
streets, from 12-4 PM each day.
