A young Queenstown man is making his mark in high jump in New
Zealand with several South Island records, and is now setting
his aim even higher for international competitions.
The Queenstown Lakes District Council was yesterday described
as a "slumlord" for allegedly neglecting formerly private
cabins it bought in the Queenstown Lakeview Holiday Park and
on nearby land and continues to rent.
Eight Queenstown companies are taking their sustainable
practices to new levels. They are taking part in a programme
run through the Centre for Sustainable Practice at the Otago
Polytechnic.
"Taking money from the renewals budget to cover
over-expenditure for water services is a major concern",
Queenstown Lakes District Council Councillor Cath Gilmour
said at a council utilities committee meeting yesterday.
Junior athletics in the Wakatipu area needs permanent
facilities for their practice and events, claims sports club
Remarkable Runners, which has requested land leased by the
Frankton Golf Course.
"Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage is about helping couples
get it right, get along, have fun, and achieve a successful
marriage," Pastor Mark Gungor says.
