With kitchen design being predominantly in grey, black or white shades, the most noticeable aspect moving into kitchenware for 2011 is multicolour. 
With silicone being available in the most vivid colours, the innovative design of collapsible items has become popular. Colanders, measuring jugs and salad spinners, which previously took up vast cupboard space, can now be flattened for economical storage use.

Both Bodum and Cuisinart feature new colourful electrics, with toasters, kettles, stick blenders, cake mixers and much more available in a wide range of colours. Microplane has introduced the new Artisan series of graters in red, yellow, green and white. Microplane graters are widely used by keen cooks and chefs alike because of their precision knife sharpness.

Scanpan has launched its new Silencio range of cookware. Manufactured in 18/10 stainless steel, the range is compatible with all hobs, including induction. This fantastic cookware features a silicone rim, which ensures quiet cooking, and also provides a unique steam vent and pouring lip.
