> The North Otago Dahlia Society is holding a
combined show with the Timaru Dahlia Society in St Joseph's
hall, Usk St, Oamaru. The show will be open to the public

> Bonsai exhibition staged by the Otago Bonsai
Society. Ground floor of the Savoy Building on the corner of
Princes St and Moray Pl. Raffles etc. Admission by gold coin.

> Dunedin Cactus and Succulent Club meets at 7pm,
St Peter's Church hall, Hillside Rd. Alice Lloyd Fitt will
talk on "propagation". Plants and produce for sale. Visitors

> Sawyers Bay Garden Club meeting at 7.15pm in the
Emmanuel Church hall, Station Rd, Sawyers Bay. Rose night.
Bring your roses for identification. Competition: two
tomatoes, dahlias large and small. Arrangement: "Good enough

Thursday, March 18
> The Outram Garden Club meets at 7pm for "spud in
the bucket" competition in the Outram Community Hall. Speaker
from Taieri St John Ambulance. Competitions: one cucumber and
three runner beans. All welcome.
Saturday, March 20
> The North Otago Dahlia Society is holding a
combined show with the Maheno School in the Maheno Hall, with
the show open to the public from 1.30pm till 4pm. Inquiries

Thursday, March 25
> Otago Herb Society annual meeting 7.30pm. Talk by
herbalist Tracey Loughran. Herb of the month: dill. New
members and visitors welcome ($2). Upper Botanic Garden
