> The North Otago Dahlia Society is holding a combined show with the Timaru Dahlia Society in St Joseph's hall, Usk St, Oamaru. The show will be open to the public from 1.30pm till 4pm. Inquiries to Mary, (03) 439-4765.

> The Outram Garden Club meets at 7pm for "spud in the bucket" competition in the Outram Community Hall. Speaker from Taieri St John Ambulance. Competitions: one cucumber and three runner beans. All welcome.
