At what was described as "a perfect pairing'', notable New Zealand footwear designer Kathryn Wilson and the high-flying Veuve Clicquot Champagne house last month treated a sellout crowd to an evening of Champagne and shoes at the Hills Golf Club in Arrowtown.

The show, "Clicquot In The Snow'' provided a showcase for Wilson's summer collection which is now available at stockists throughout New Zealand. The shoes were shown by models from Red 11.

"Veuve Clicquot has had a long-standing affiliation with successful women in business so we are very proud to have Kathryn Wilson as an ambassador. She is the perfect embodiment of success, glamour and audacity,'' said Rai Banbury, senior brand manager.

The Champagne house was established in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot, and began to thrive when Madame Clicquot took the helm in 1805. Clicquot In The Snow has been held in resorts from Tignes to Aspen to Thredbo, and for the third year running added Queenstown to its list of worldwide winter destinations.
