When it comes to earings, the bigger the better, says Amy Parsons-King.

While teeny-tiny studs and dainty drop earrings have dominated our lobes for the past few seasons, 2016 sees ear accessories go big, bold and overstated.

You can mix and match earrings (yes, I mean wear two different types) or even wear just one if you're game!

The best thing about over-the-top earrings being on-trend is that they make any understated outfit stand out.

Wear a bright, colourful pair with a plain white T-shirt and jeans to turn a simple ensemble into a striking one, or transform a little black dress with a large pair of metal earrings to add impact.
