Tonight I was backstage at the iD International Emerging Designer Awards, where 38 finalists from all over the globe were busy preparing their models to showcase their collections, to an audience of 1400 at the Dunedin Town Hall.

Surprisingly, the atmosphere was fairly serene, perhaps the calm before the storm?

No doubt as the night progresses, and it creeps closer to the the winners being announced, nerves will begin to heighten.
