Do you want to get into running or back in after a break? Or be able to walk 10 kms with ease but need some guidance? Back in Motion has just the solution. We challenge you to join us on the Back in Motion 10km Training Programme, with the end goal of completing the New Balance Hill Free Race in Outram on the 12 October 2014.

The Challenge begins 21st July. It is a 12 week walking/ jogging team training programme that includes three instructor guided group sessions each week, a 12 week training guide with details of your expected daily physical activity, a discounted massage at Back in Motion (and other discounts), race entry and you will also receive  discounts from our sponsors: Stirling sports, The Athletes foot and Roslyn Podiatry. All of this for only $33.25 per week!

Weekly training times are Tuesdays 7-8am (A gentle Pilates Mat Class), Thursdays 7- 8pm (A medium to high intensity circuit class), and a Saturday morning group walk/ jog (approximately 8-10am). If you can't make these sessions once or twice throughout the programme, we can slot you into other classes during the week.

The programme is a fantastic way to get motivated as you will be working with a group of like-minded and supportive people. Many of our past participants have continued their walking/running with great results and made some great friends. Our experienced Instructors are available to offer advice and to challenge you throughout the programme.

You’ll be glad to hear that training for a 10km race forms the foundation of all-round fitness because it includes ample amounts of the three core components of distance running – strength, stamina and speed. In order to join us, ideally you will be able to already either run or walk 2km.
