Tomorrow, June 21
Sawyers Bay Garden Club midwinter pot-luck lunch, 12.30pm, Emmanuel Church hall, Station Rd, Sawyers Bay; meeting will follow. Arrangement: Winter shadows; flower: bloom own choice. Two parsnips. New members welcome.

Monday June 23
Palmerston Garden Circle bus trip to Toitu Otago Settlers Museum, leaves 12.30pm from behind Palmerston Community Centre.

Thursday, June 26
Otago Herb Society meets at the St Patrick's Centre, 32 Macandrew Rd, South Dunedin to celebrate Matariki. Kathy Graham will talk about Maori medicinal herbs.

Saturday, June 28
Outram Garden Club meets at the Outram Community hall at noon. Pot-luck lunch, members to bring finger food and a soup spoon. Speaker: Landscape designer Emily McEwan. Competition: Three soup vegies, any flower.

Tuesday, July 1
The Brockville Garden Club will meet in the Community Church hall at noon. We will have our midyear pot-luck lunch followed by a DVD. Sales table and raffles.

Friday, July 4
HortTalk: ''The challenge: Every Otago Polytechnic graduate is a sustainable practitioner'', by Associate Prof Samuel Mann, of Otago Polytechnic.

Saturday, July 5
The Otago Lily Society annual bulb auction, St James Presbyterian Church hall, King Edward Rd, South Dunedin. There will be a bulb sale starting at 12.30pm and viewing of the auction lots is available from 12.30pm until 1.30pm, when the auction will start.

Dunedin Floral Art Society workshop, St Peter's Church Hall, Hillside Rd, 10.15am.
