Sawyers Bay Garden Club will meet in the Emmanuel Church hall, Station Rd, Sawyers Bay, at 1.45pm. Speaker: Poet and potter Phyllis Smith, ''Fabulous Flax''. Competitions: One flower and ''greenery in a bottle'', flower own choice, three yams. All welcome.

Otago Rose Society's pruning demonstration at Dunedin Botanic Garden, 1.30pm. Meet in rose garden if fine or information centre if wet.

meets at the Outram Community Hall at 1.30pm. Speaker Sandra Cumming on sustainable living. Competition: three native foliage, pumpkin.

Palmerston Garden Circle
to meet at 1.30pm at Palmerston Community Centre. Guest speaker, sales table and raffles.

Balclutha Garden Club

meets in the Community Church Hall, at 1.30pm. Guest speaker Dylan Norfield on the UK horticultural show he attended. Afternoon tea, sales table, raffle.

meets at St Peter's Church hall, corner Hillside Rd and Eastbourne St, South Dunedin, 7.30pm. Speaker Neville Peat on ''Wild About Nature''. All welcome.
