Dunedin Dahlia Circle dahlia tuber sale, Forbury Park Raceway, 10am to midday. Good quality dahlias to suit all types of gardens.

Sunday, November 2
Blueskin Garden Club will be at the Waitati market day selling spuds in a bag.

Macandrew Bay School Garden Tour 11am-3pm. Tickets cost $15 and are available from Nichol's, Macandrew Bay School and Macandrew Bay Pharmacy. Tickets will also be available on the day from 9am at the school office. Ticket include a Devonshire tea.

There is a shuttle available for those who need transport between gardens. There is also a garden gala day at the school at the same time with plants, food and books for sale, family entertainment and much more.

Monday, November 3
Dunedin Floral Art Society meets in St Peter's Church hall, Hillside Rd, 7.30pm. Design ''All Fired Up''. Inquiries to Faye-Noel 487-8546.

Maori Hill Garden Club meets Passmore Cres at 10am to share transport for a visit to Dunedin Botanic Garden. North Otago Garden Club will meet in the Foundation for the Blind hall, Steward St, at 7.30pm. Guest speaker is Tina Lawrence of Exquisite Blooms Paeony Garden.

Tuesday, November 4
Get Composting workshop, Harvest Community Gardens, Gorge Rd, Queenstown, 6-8pm. Easy ways to compost at home, with Dr Compost - finding a system to suit you. Bokashi, traditional compost heaps, worms. Funded by Queenstown Lakes District Council. Free.

Brockville Garden Club will meet at the Community Church hall ready to leave for Waihola at 11.30am sharp. Lunch will be at the Black Swan before visiting two gardens and Mrs Deans. Please bring a gift to the value of $5, a can for the foodbank and $5 for your driver.

Otago Bonsai Society meets Musselburgh Church hall, Queens Dr, 7.30pm. Members to bring along any past demonstration trees and trees to work on in a workshop. Remember tools etc. Contact (03) 454-2113.

Otago Rose Society, monthly meeting, St Peter's Church hall, Hillside Rd, 7.30pm. Summer care of your roses in the garden: tips/suggestions for rose show preparation. Supper, raffles.

High Country Garden Tour, Twizel-Omarama area. Fundraiser for the Twizel Medical Centre. Gardens open 10am-4pm. Tickets $35, children under-14 free.
