The house is on fire and you can only grab one thing on your way out. What would it be? Nigel Benson grills a local on his favourite thing.

Dean Trevor James

What is your favourite possession? Probably my Tang Dynasty dragon table.

Why? It's a warm memory of my first wife (deceased) and our years in Darwin. Chris discovered it while searching for a coffee table, though at the time she was trying to keep her mind off a dental appointment - a bit of retail therapy!

How did you get it? A small, out-of-the-way antique dealer in Darwin.

What is it made of? Wood (I suspect rosewood) and brass.

How old is it? At least 100 years.

Where do you keep it? In the living room.

What's it worth? Maybe $1000.

Is it insured? Not specifically.

Could you get another one? I have never seen another one, so I doubt it.

Does it have a name? No.
