Robert and Kerri-Anne Bray (nee Noah)
Ages: 26 and 32
Occupations: Apprentice Builder and Room Attendant/Studying Veterinary Nursing Part-time
Region: Dunedin, Otago

When and where did you meet?: We met through a mutual friend of ours. The first time we were to shy to talk to each other, then met a few more times, started to talk and hit it off after we were both out one night.

The proposal: Robert asked me to marry him in 2011 after we had been out for dinner and a movie. We came home and were talking. He got down on one knee, pulled the ring out and asked me to become his wife. Of course I said YES. It was a very special moment as our dog Macgyver, who is no longer with us, was there.

Where was the wedding?: We got married on February 16, 2013 at Dunedin Botanic Garden, in the rose garden. It was the perfect venue to have it. My mother-in-law suggested to have it there, especially with it being a summer wedding. The reception was held at Forbury Raceway.

The dress: I went looking at dresses with a good friend of mine and tried on three before deciding on the one I fell in love with, at the first bridal shop we visited.

The bridesmaids' dresses: My girls' dresses and flower girl dresses were all handmade by a very good family friend of my mother-in-law. They looked amazing on the girls and turned out beautifully. Thank you Kaye Saunders.

The flowers: We went with artificial as one of the bridesmaids has hay fever and this way we were able to keep them afterwards. They were perfect.

The caterers: Just Essence did the catering for us. The food was fantastic and they did a wonderful job as the other reception venue fell through. We would recommend them to everyone.

Highlight of the day: Having our friends and family there to witness the most special day of our lives and marrying my best friend.

Your photographer and favourite photo: Our photographer was Tania Rae Photography who did a wonderful job of capturing our day. We have a lot of favourite photos.

We would like to thank our family and friends who helped - My Mother-in-law Heather Bray, Father-in-law Kevin Bray, Robert's Grandmother Laurel Corbishley, Brother-in-laws Ricky, Jeremy and Matthew along with my bridesmaids Cindy Scoles and her two daughters Hayley and Kendra who were flower girls, Stef Lott and Claire Crosbie.
