Jeni McFarlane (31), manager, and Brad Bosselman (32), sales rep

When and where did we meet:
Brad was working at Alibi back in 2008 and I was in there having a drink. One of my friends talked me into giving him my number as we left. Seven years later we are married with two kids!
The proposal:
In Nelson on New Year's Eve 2013/2014 we had a night out without the kids. Brad proposed after the fireworks (which he claimed to have organised for me!).
Why did we choose the venue:
We wanted a simple garden wedding, but in Dunedin in March, we needed it to have an indoor venue. Northview, in East Taieri was perfect, the garden was beautiful and it had a lovely indoor option as well. Our reception was a cocktail party at Luna Bar and Restaurant. I work up there, so it made it easy to organise everything how we wanted it. The food was amazing and there was heaps of it. We had Carissa from Creating Occasions to decorate for us and it was absolutely perfect.

The dress:
All I had wanted was lace! But I couldn't get my head around spending $4000 on a dress I would wear for a matter of hours. I found my dress online for a fraction of the price and it was perfect.
The flowers:
My super-clever mum and cousin did the flowers. They were just baby's breath and pink and white roses, so simple but they looked beautiful.
Highlight of the day:
When we did our photos before the ceremony. I had been getting pretty nervous, and Brad was the same, but as soon as we saw each other we relaxed. It was all so perfect.  Also when we saw our boys all dressed up. They looked so adorable and were really good the whole day!
Our photographer/fave photo:
Our photographer was Chris Garden. He was AMAZING! He arrived when we were getting ready, and didn't leave until near the end of the reception. All of our photos are amazing! It's hard to choose a favourite, we love one from each location, under the tree at the gardens, on the cliff edge in St Clair, at the railway station and our first-kiss photo. We also had all our photos by the Thursday after the wedding. He was awesome and we would recommend him to everyone!
