Catering

In 1985, drawing on hotel and professional catering experience dating back to the mid-60s, Tony and Heather set about developing a unique system of catering which would enable them to cater for functions of between 20 and 5000 people. 

Holding a reception has been a celebratory tradition of weddings down through the centuries, with caterers being integral to making it worry-free for the couple and their families as caterer and staff take over the preparation and serving of the food and refreshments.

Originating in America, wedding favours in the form of confectionery treats have become popular at many New Zealand weddings. Often wrapped chocolates, they are placed beside each table setting at the reception.

Many wedding venues supply all the drinks required, the type of wines, beers and spirits being worked out in collaboration with the couple or whoever is responsible for paying the cost of the catering. Others are happy for the drinks to be supplied by the couple and their families.
