Every year hundreds of people, especially holidaymakers, make
a beeline to Naseby’s recreation ground to enjoy a great day
out at the New Year’s Family Fun Day.
The young and young-at-heart take much joy from trying
old-fashioned games such as three-legged races,
egg-in-the-spoon, human wheelbarrow and sack races.
The day’s entertainment starts at 1pm and also features
various stalls, a big water slide, and food. If the weather
is unfavourable, the day is usually postponed until the
following day.
A minimal entry fee usually applies for children, with free
entry for adults.
