Homeopathic jet-lag relief may have misled consumers

A homeopathic relief for jet-lag may have misled consumers by saying it "really worked".

The Advertising Standards Authority has upheld a complaint against the advertising on boxes of No-Jet-Lag in an Auckland pharmacy.

The complainant said the advertising on the product, claiming it was an effective treatment for jet-lag prevention, was misleading and unsubstantiated.

The manufacturer behind No-Jet-Lag supplied the authority with a study of 19 flight attendants, 75 per cent of which said No-Jet-Lag was good or very good at preventing jet-lag.

The authority said the study was weak and found the ad could be misleading to consumers. It was removed from the Auckland pharmacy.
