Nikki and Craig are from Outram and held thier wedding down
in the stunning Catlins.
When and where did you meet?: We met seven years ago
through a mutual friend, lost contact for two years, then
started dating five years ago.
The proposal: There was no proposal, it was a mutual
agreement that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives with
each other and the next logical step was to get married.
Where was the wedding?: Tautuku outdoor education
camp, Tautuku, Catlins, Otago.
Why did you choose the venue?: Because we wanted to be
somewhere outdoors, where we could make a whole weekend of it
and have our guests stay with us and not have to worry about
driving at the end of the night.
The dress: My stepmother-in-law made my dress, and
imported the fabric from America. The bridesmaids'
dresses were also made by my stepmother-in-law
The flowers: I got my flowers made for me from flax,
by Hapene Flax in fielding. I wanted flowers that would last
forever.
The caterers: We had a full roast by Just Essence
catering. They were fantastic to deal with!
Highlight of the day: The whole day was so good, but I
think being away with the photographers and wedding party for
all the professional photos was my highlight.
Your photographer and favourite photo: Jan and Wayne
Johnson from Aspiring Photography, Wanaka. They were
absolutely brilliant. I have so many favourite photos but I
think my favourite would have to be the panoramic shot of us
(it reminds me of our cake topper).
