Staff can create a traditional or casual wedding and can
accommodate the couple's personality, cultural requirements
and desired ambience.
"I enjoy the close and trusted relationship between myself,
our team and the bride and groom. It takes an enormous
pressure off the couple knowing they are in good hands,
allowing them to really enjoy the event," Michelle said.
Michelle says the menu is one of the most important things to
decide on for your reception. "We offer a full range of menus
to suit any budget and dietary requirements and we also give
the couple flexibility to meet our chef and have personal
input into their menu creation". Beverages are also important
and tastings are arranged to ensure the couple has a good
choice of wine options.
The multi-level Vista Restaurant is the most popular wedding
venue choice. Michelle says "This stunning atrium-style room
seats 95 people and not only enables all guests to have a
great view of the bridal party but also the majestic scenery
of the lake and mountains".
The adjacent Manata Room can be hired in conjunction with the
Vista Restaurant to provide an excellent dance area and
after-dinner reception room.
A traditional dance floor or an electronic "disco" dance
floor is available for keen wedding dancers. A grassed
balcony also enables wedding ceremonies and after-ceremony
cocktails to be held overlooking the stunning vista.
The Mercure Queenstown Resort provides napkins and linen in
the package. Staff are able to source silk table runners and,
if desired, themed candelabras and centrepieces to create a
wonderful fairy tale or a modern, stylish setting.
With 15 years of experience in wedding planning, Michelle can
also recommend local high quality reliable wedding suppliers
such as florists, cake-makers, DJs and photographers.
The hotel is a one-stop venue as it offers all family and
friends accommodation at special rates for the wedding night,
and dates prior to and after the wedding, so they can enjoy
the best of what Queenstown has to offer. Michelle creates
special booking forms for your guests to book directly with
the hotel, making this a really easy process for the bride,
groom, family and guests.
The wedding package includes; a complimentary night's
accommodation in the wedding suite with a private balcony
overlooking the mountains and lake, a bottle of bubbles,
fully cooked room-service breakfast and free internet.
