A dominant team performance from the Lake Hawea cricket team
was one of the highlights of the annual Hawea district's
Waitangi Day sporting competition, as Town beat Country for
the first time in three years.
The Lake Hawea sewer is under pressure and likely to overflow
during high rainfalls, so the Queenstown Lakes District
Council is keen to talk to property owners next month about
ways to reduce the problem.
