The future of the Kakanui Camp remains with the Environment
Court as owners of a neighbouring property and the camp's
owner work through a mediation process aimed at resolving
outstanding issues to avoid a full hearing.
A colony of nesting gulls responsible for polluting the

be removed from the area because the colony contains
protected bird life.
