When yachting legend the late Sir Peter Blake visited the
Gore Boat Club more than 15 years ago, he could not believe
how many members it had for a town without a nearby lake.
Money raised and donated for the purpose of getting the
Kingston Flyer back on its tracks has been spent, the man in
charge of the fundraising endeavour said.
Kingston residents and visitors won't get the chance to
celebrate a fifth year of the annual Kingstock concert
because of a lack of funding from the Queenstown Lakes
District Council.
