A 23-year-old Queenstown woman and her 32-year-old passenger
were taken to hospital on Monday morning after their vehicle
crashed into a rock face on the side of Peninsula Rd in
Kelvin Heights.
When Queenstown police arrived, the women could not be
located but were found shortly afterwards at the nearby
Hilton Hotel.
They were taken to the Lakes District Hospital with unknown
injuries, Senior Constable Chris Blackford said.
Snr Const Blackford confirmed that alcohol had been consumed,
but had no record of any charges laid.
