Dunedin sharebroker Noeline Munro has been appointed to the New Zealand Markets Disciplinary Tribunal for a three-year term.

Mrs Munro is a senior investment adviser with Craigs Investment Partners.

"I am happy to contribute back to the industry in which I am having such a fabulous time," she said when contacted.

Many senior people were dropping out of the industry and it was good for the tribunal to have experienced participants.

Mrs Munro said she was there as a market participant and the tribunal was careful about any conflicts with its actions against firms. New Zealand was a small country and it was important the tribunal had access to several market participants to avoid those conflicts.

Mrs Munro had been an NZX investment adviser since 1993 and had significant directorship experience, the tribunal said in a statement.

Also appointed to the tribunal yesterday, as an issuers representative, was Ryman Healthcare director Jo Appleyard, who is also a partner at Chapman Tripp.
