The establishment of a new cash-handling division at ADT Armourguard's Dunedin Branch has created nine jobs and necessitated a move to newer, larger premises.
ADT Armourguard general manager Ian Anderson officially opened the new Wharf St branch and welcomed the nine new staff members during a function on Tuesday.
Previously, the branch had been based in Fryatt St for 20 years.
"Our business has expanded and our use of technology has increased," he said.
"We've outgrown and out-matured our old site," he said.
ADT Armourguard Dunedin employs more than 50 staff.
