Police are appealing for information, after a 16-year-old girl was indecently assaulted in Dunedin early on Sunday.
The teenager was walking home up the public steps between Hocken St and Kenmure Rd between midnight and 12.30am, when the incident occurred.
A pedestrian is believed to have scared off the offender, who is described as having short, dark hair, and was wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt and dark blue or back trousers.
