Dunedin police are investigating two suspicious car fires in
Dunedin at the weekend.
Detective Sergeant John Hedges said one car was found burnt
out about 8pm on Friday in Normanby St, followed by another
at 7am on Saturday in South Rd.
Both appeared suspicious and police were following lines of
inquiry.
Invercargill police are seeking information about the arson
of a car early on Saturday.
Senior Sergeant Maggie Windle said the 1995 red Mitsubishi
was parked on the corner of Stirrat and Chesney Sts about
2am.
A short time later it was set alight and was extensively
damaged.
