Police say they have found personal items on the Dunedin
coast that they believe are linked to a body spotted offshore
early today.
A police helicopter crew saw the body near Lawyer's Head
before dawn, after concerns were raised about a person living
in the area.
A search of the water and shoreline today did not turn up the
body.
Police said they would continue looking over the next few
days.
"Police have located some property of interest near Lawyer's
Head, and believe that it is related to the sighting of a
body," Senior Sergeant Steve Aitken said.
