A Dunedin man sustained serious injuries after falling from
the roof of a Princes St building yesterday.
Sergeant Chris George, of Dunedin, said the 42-year-old fell
about 16m from the roof of the Queens Building in Princes St
on to an enclosed roof area on the first floor of the
building, about 7.45am.
The man sustained back, pelvis and lower leg injuries and was
taken to Dunedin Hospital in a serious condition.
Sgt George said the man had surgery yesterday, and was now in
a stable condition in the intensive-care unit.
The incident was not being treated as suspicious, he said.
