Police continue to investigate information from the public following the armed robbery of a Halfway Bush dairy on Sunday night.
Police had received information following publicity on the description of the offender and his getaway vehicle, Detective Graeme Smaill said.
"We have had a few calls from the public and we are appreciative of that."
The masked man pulled a gun on the On the Spot Halfway Bush Convenience Store shopkeeper at 8.30pm on Sunday, before making off with $100 worth of the party drug 'Kronic'.
The man was described as Pakeha, aged 25-30, with short cropped hair, a 10cm long goatee, and wearing a dark hoodie with white writing.
He left in a Subaru Legacy, possibly a mid-1990s model.
Det Smaill said about 75 vehicles fitting that description were registered to Dunedin owners.
Anyone with information was urged to contact Dunedin police (471-4800) and ask for the Operation Ashmore team.
