Goods believed to be worth at least $20,000 have been stolen
from Portobello Motors on the Otago Peninsula.
Senior Constable Lox Kellas, of Portobello, said the burglary
was reported to police about 7.45am yesterday, when staff at
the garage arrived to find someone had forced a door
overnight.
Among the items taken were tools and electrical goods.
Snr Const Kellas said police would like to speak to anyone
who saw any suspicious behaviour in Portobello overnight.
It was thought the burglary might have happened between 3am
and 4am.
