The Southern District Health Board has replaced a public committee meeting scheduled for next Wednesday in Dunedin with a non-public "workshop" next month. The combined disability support and public health advisory committee stopped meeting monthly this year; its last meeting was August 4 in Invercargill.
Funding and finance general manager Robert Mackway-Jones said the workshop would be used for "preliminary planning" for next year.
"There were a number of reasons for making it a workshop, one for the planning; two, a number of apologies." Aside from chairman Dr Malcolm Macpherson, the committee has just three members.
