Garage Sale. Photo by Peter McIntosh.
The Great Carisbrook Garage Sale was held on Saturday.
Organiser Vicki Kestila said hundreds of people attended the
sale, to which rugby clubs were given priority access the
previous day.
Clubs picked out about a fifth of the items. Microwaves, TVs,
fridges, furniture, glassware, plates and other items from
Carisbrook's 42 corporate suites were for sale, with some
items given away with other purchases.
The event raised more than $23,000 for Otago Rugby player
development.
It was likely any remaining items would go to charity.
