A group of Santas runs towards the finish line at St
Clair Beach, Dunedin, yesterday in the inaugural Dunedin Santa
Run.
Organiser Gillian Anderson, of Brighton Sea Scouts, said 125
people entered the fun run, which involved people dressed as
Santa running 3km along the beach.
For the $28 entry fee, participants received a Santa suit and
the opportunity to win prizes. Part of the entry fee also
went to the KidsCan charity.
The Dunedin event was one of eight held simultaneously across
the country.
