More graffiti has been scrawled on the Harbour Mouth Molars installation on Portsmouth Dr on Saturday.

Dunedin City Council community development committee chairman Cr Bill Acklin said the council would organise removal of the graffiti as soon as possible.

"Somebody is not happy with the DCC," he said.

Cr Acklin said the defacement had been there a few days, although he did not know when it was done.

The teeth, the work of artist Regan Gentry, have been the target of graffiti before.

Costing $45,000, the sculptures have attracted a large degree of criticism since their installation in April, 2010.
