The stand, in the Meridian mall yesterday and today from noon to 2pm, aims to promote Brain Awareness Week and also the $3 million fundraising campaign under way for the chair in neurosurgery at the university.

Mrs Mosley said the fundraising tally had reached $1,665,346 yesterday.

She urged people to give before the end of the month, to get a tax rebate this year.
